Here are highlights of the new capabilities: SecureCRT delivers support for tiled sessions on the Windows platform and a built-in TFTP server; SecureFX's toolbar filter quickly finds files in the local and remote working directories; and ClientPack adds upgrades to the VRALib API. Our tip revisits how to use the chat window to broadcast commands to multiple sessions. ------------- -------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------ The SecureCRT 7.0 beta release introduces tiled sessions on the Windows platform to allow easy viewing of multiple sessions. On all platforms, a built-in TFTP server facilitates file transfer to routers and other network devices. Other improvements streamline authentication and button bar mapping. Tiling for the Windows version of SecureCRT lets you compare multiple sessions or view output when sending commands to all sessions using the chat window. Sessions can be tiled vertically, horizontally, or cascaded. Tiling is planned for Mac and Linux in an upcoming release of SecureCRT. Here are some further capabilities of SecureCRT 7.0 (beta):

The new toolbar filter helps you quickly find files and folders in the current local and remote working directories. Wildcards make it easy to find the exact set of files you want to transfer. Also new are enhancements to synchronization, SFXCL, and the user interface. SecureFX 7.0 can synchronize large numbers of files faster. In addition, the synchronize file list is refreshed automatically when changes are made to files on the local system and you can resynchronize without having to close the Synchronize tab. The SFXCL command-line utility adds the ability to specify the FTPS protocol explicitly on the command line. Also, a new "/Chmod" option allows for changing permissions of remote files. There are two improvements to the SecureCRT 7.0 interface. The new "Customize local window position" lets you position the local machine's tab to always appear at the bottom or on the right side of the window. Bookmarks can now be opened directly from the right-click menu or "File" menu. Some of these include a new property for getting or setting key-exchange algorithms, "Version" and "Revision" properties, keyboard- interactive authentication, and streaming of binary files. The vkeygen utility for Windows and Linux versions adds the ability to generate OpenSSH format keys from the command line.
