Displaying an Authentication Banner
VShell will display an authentication banner before allowing a client to log on if you have defined an authentication banner. The following steps describes how to define an authentication banner in Windows 2000.
On Windows 2000 systems, an authentication banner can be defined for either local or group (domain) policies. For VShell to display an authentication banner, you must add the title and text to the following security policies.
Message title for users attempting to log on
Message text for users attempting to log on
Security policies are set in the Windows 2000 Control Panel Administration Tools in the Local Security Policy or Group Security Policy folders.
VShell will send the title and text set in the security policies to the client as an authentication banner.
