Specifying a Domain Name
When you are using a client to log onto VShell, you may want or need to specify a domain name. VShell supports the following command formats for specifying a domain name or machine name with the username:
domain
name\username - This format is recommended for access from a command line
SSH2
client
machine
name\username
username@machine name
Specifying a domain name is useful if you have accounts on the local machine and on the domain with the same username and possibly the same password. If the client does not specify a domain as part of the username and accounts with the same username exist on both the local machine and the domain, the local machine account will be used.
