Why am I getting key exchange failures and what can I do about them?
Several things cause key exchange failures. If you are having problems, check the following conditions.
- When you generated your host key, did you use DSA or RSA? Make sure that your client supports whichever algorithm you selected.
- Make sure that at least one of the ciphers that your client is using matches at least one of the ciphers selected
in the VShell® Control Panel.
- Make sure that at least one of the MACs that your client is using matches
at least one of the Macs selected in the VShell Control Panel.
- Make sure that you have Compression enabled in the VShell Control Panel
if your client is requesting compression.
