Why is the message-of-the-day displayed twice on Solaris systems?

In the Solaris operating environment, the login shell by default displays the message of the day. Therefore, if you also include the MOTDPath option in your vshelld_config file, VShell® misinterprets this as a second instruction to display the message of the day. To suppress the second message, comment out or remove the "MOTDPath/etc/motd" setting in the vshelld_config file.
