VanDyke Software believes strongly that no customer should have
to buy software in order to find out how well it works. Software
purchases should be based on thorough evaluation of the most current,
fully functional technology. Users should be able to test every
feature of a software package for functionality and compatibility.
VanDyke Software software can be evaluated with no limitations in
capabilities.
All VanDyke products are offered under a 30-day evaluation license.
In evaluation mode, all software functionality is available. VanDyke
software should not be used beyond the expiration of the evaluation
license. Individuals or organizations wishing to extend their evaluation
license beyond the stated period can contact VanDyke
Sales to request permission and receive instructions.

Redistribution |

Evaluation software
is available for download from VanDyke Software without charge.
If permission is obtained in advance and redistribution instructions
are followed, individuals and organizations may redistribute the
evaluation software files on CD-ROMs, web sites, and FTP sites.
Request permission by contacting VanDyke
Sales. For VShell®, SecureCRT®, SecureFX®, and the VanDyke ClientPack,
customer information is required to acquire an evaluation
copy. This is due to US Department of Commerce
regulations
restricting the export of encryption technology.

Beta Evaluation |

Beta software releases
are also offered for evaluation. The purpose of these releases is
for customers to explore new capabilities and test the functionality
and reliability of the software in their particular environment.
Beta evaluation assists customers in more carefully planning their
upgrade path. Combined with the standard One Year Software Updates
policy, organizations can purchase software licenses with full knowledge
of their upgrade strategy.
