VanDyke Software Delivers Official Release of AbsoluteFTP 2.0
Albuquerque, N.M. (February 19, 2002) — VanDyke Software™, a developer of customer-driven software solutions, announced today the official release of its AbsoluteFTP® 2.0 file transfer client. AbsoluteFTP now includes a command-line utility for scripting batch jobs that provides network professionals with the ability to perform routine and unattended file transfer operations with a new level of productivity.
"By putting together the new command-line tool, 'relentless transfer' feature, and existing support for direct, server-to-server transfers, we've taken file transfer to a new level of productivity," said Jeff P. The new release's "relentless transfer" option reconnects and resumes a file transfer operation if the connection to the remote computer is broken. Relentless transfer was added to the product ahead of schedule in response to strong customer request. Logging of activity to an external file has also been added.
AbsoluteFTP is priced at US$29.95 for a single license, US$250 for 10 licenses, and US$1500 for 100 licenses. SecureFX is also available in a bundled version with CRT, VanDyke's award-winning terminal emulation client, for US$49.95. The software supports Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, and Windows 95. Fully functional 30-day evaluation software may be downloaded worldwide from www.vandyke.com.
