RSA BSAFE® Encryption Software Helps Enable Developer of Secure Windows Solutions to Create Additional Products

Albuquerque, N.M. and Bedford, Mass., December 17, 2001 — VanDyke Software™, a leading provider of security and access software, announced an expanded security licensing agreement with RSA Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS). VanDyke has extended its use of RSA BSAFE® Crypto-C encryption software in its line of Secure Shell solutions for Windows® users and networks. The licensing agreement permits VanDyke to use the encryption software in the development of new client applications and packaged solutions for its rapidly growing base of enterprise customers.

The RSA BSAFE software provides authentication, data integrity and data encryption in VanDyke's VShell™ server and SecureCRT® and SecureFX® client applications. It also allows VanDyke's Secure Shell solutions to comply with the NIST FIPS 140-1 standard for encryption required by the U.S. government.
