Basepoint®
Basepoint is a secure file access and share application for individuals and organizations that want to provide the efficiency and convenience of cloud file sharing while maintaining internal control of data.
With Basepoint, you access files from multiple locations, without the security concerns of storing your data on third-party cloud servers.
Basepoint is easy to use and support. All you need to get started is Basepoint and an existing SFTP account**.
Easy access to files from anywhere
- Multi-platform support lets programmers who work on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers from multiple locations access their data, no matter where they are or what platform they’re using.
- Conveniently access files from work and home including notes, project spreadsheets, contracts, marketing documents, .pngs related to development, and source code patches.
Security in a trusted, private cloud
- Files are stored in your private cloud instead of a third-party server, ensuring that your data is secure, and stored and accessed according to your internal security policies and secure infrastructure.
- Basepoint protects your data in transit with SFTP, a trusted, secure protocol standard. Data leaves your network encrypted.
- By standardizing on Basepoint, you can control which file sharing software is allowed and avoid unauthorized use of cloud-based file sharing solutions and the intermingling of personal and work file-sharing accounts.
Set it and forget it simplicity
- All you need to set up and use Basepoint is an existing SFTP account on your company’s internal infrastructure. The Basepoint application is easy to install and configure and there is no additional server-side software to install.
- Files in your Basepoint folder are automatically shared between all your systems that have Basepoint installed so that you can access your files and folders at any time while traveling or teleworking.
* Basepoint will automatically run in licensed mode when a valid SecureCRT license is present.
** Basepoint requires an SSH2 server supporting SFTP, such as VShell.
