SecureFX supports a number of secure file transfer protocols to create an encrypted connection for secure file transfers between your local machine and server. Using the Secure Shell file transfer protocol (SFTP), SCP, or FTP over TLS (FTPS) provides essential security features:

  • Robust Authentication
    The user and host are authenticated when a secure file transfer session is opened to protect against server spoofing with forged credentials or DNS hijacking.
  • Strong Encryption
    The Secure Shell (SSH2) file transfer protocol uses a wide variety of ciphers that use key lengths up to 256 bit.
  • Data Integrity
    All data packets sent via Secure Shell file transfer protocol (SFTP) are protected with a Message Authentication Code (MAC) to eliminate the possibility of forged or altered data.
